Why can't I redirect to my LinkedIn profile?
You need to fill in the complete Public Profile URL.
Back to topHow do I sign up on this site?
- Look for the Join button.
- Select your preferred account (Free account is the standard).
- After filling in your display name (usually the name people know you by in your network) the Profile name will automatically be filled in. The Profile name has to be unique. Please choose another profile name when your first choice is already taken.
- Use an e-mail address that hasn´t been used before on Promote Your Network.
- Choose a secret password. Repeat the password to be sure you haven't made a mistake.
- Select the box to receive the Promote Your Network newsletter (optional).
- You have to agree to the Terms & Conditions to start a profile on Promote Your Network.
- You will receive an e-mail with a confirmation link (please check your spambox if you do not see it in your inbox).
- Click on the confirmation link and sign in on Promote Your Network.
- Congratulations, you're about to start promoting your network!
How do I sign in?
- Click on the 'Sign in' link found in the top right-hand corner of this website
- Use the e-mail address you used when signing up.
- Fill in the password (lost or forgot your password? Use the link to retrieve it).
- Click on the 'Remember my login' box (optional).
- Finally click on the 'Sign in' button.
How do I edit my profile?
- After you login click on the 'My account' tab.
- Click on the 'Edit' button.
- Update the fields of your choice.
- Don't forget to press the 'save' button!
How do I delete my profile?
- After you login click on the 'My account' tab.
- Click on the 'Edit' button.
- Below you will find the red 'Delete my account' button.
- In a pop-up you will be asked if you are sure you want to delete your profile (action cannot be undone).
Is it possible to change my Profile Name?
No. Your Profile Name has to be unique because it's used in the URL of your profile and your item(s).

How do I change my password?
- When you're signed in, click on the 'My account' tab.
- Click on the 'Settings' tab.
- Choose a new password (and repeat it).
- Don't forget to press the 'Save' button!
How do I retrieve my password?
Why can't I fill in the URL of my website or company on my profile?
Actually you can! But it will appear as plain text in your profile text.

How do I promote myself?
- Place a button in your e-mail signature.
- Place a button on your website.
- Make a link to your public profile on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
- Start promoting others and they will probably promote your item(s) too!
Choose here a Promote Your Network button or banner of your choice.

What is an item?
How many items do I start with when I sign up to Promote Your Network?
Why can't I see an uploaded picture?
How do I add new items to my profile?
- Sign in first.
- Click on the 'Your items' tab.
- Click on the 'Add item' button.
- With a Free account it is not possible to have more than 2 items (Pro account is max 10 and Premium account is max 25 items).
- Define an item name (make it as specific as possible).
- The short description will show up in any item overview that your promoters are recommending (trigger the viewer!).
- The long description will show up when people view the item details (it could help if you mention the benefits of your product or service).
- Optionally copy and paste a link to a Youtube video (don't use the embedded link!).
- Use a link to a specific page where the viewer can order or read more about your item (product or service).
- Upload a picture with square dimensions (other formats will work too) to represent your item.

How do I edit my items?
- Sign in first.
- Click on the 'Your items' tab.
- Place your mouse over the '+' button and click on the 'Edit item' button, or click directly on the blue 'Edit item' button of the item you would like to change.
- Change any field.
- Don't forget to press the 'save' button!
How many times can I change my items?
Unlimited times! But don't frustrate your network contacts by updating it too frequently. They might stop promoting you.

- Click on the 'Your items' tab.
- Move your mouse over the '+" button and click on the 'Remove item' button, or click directly on the blue 'delete this item' button (garbage can icon).
- A pop-up will ask you if you are sure.
- Don´t worry, you can add a new item later!
- Don't forget to press the 'save' button!
How do I insert the conversion tracking code?
- First sign in.
- Click on the 'Your items' tab.
- Move your mouse over the '+' button and click on the 'Track conversions' button, or click directly on the blue (!) 'Track conversions' button for the item you would like to install the tracking code.
- Carefully read the instructions.
- Eventually you will be able to use the services of Netjam to help you out in installing the conversion tracking code on your website.
How do I promote others?
- First sign in.
- Click on the 'My Account' tab.
- Find the specific item by pressing the 'Suggestions' tab.
- Move your mouse over the '+' button and click on the 'Promote item' button or click directly on the blue (play) 'Promote this item' button.
- Send a tweet, an e-mail or use the short or long promotion link in blogs, news articles, newsletters, etc. to promote this item.
- When people are promoting you by Twitter you'll find that in the statistics.
How can I see who's promoting my items?
- Sign in first.
- Click on the 'My Account' tab.
- Click on the 'Your items' tab.
- Select an item and click on 'x promoters' button (where x stands for the amount of promoters).
- Below your item details you will find a list of your promoters.
- Note the difference between people the visitor knows (blue sign) and doesn´t know (white sign).
- Be sure you import all of your e-mail contacts to Promote Your Network, so viewers will see which of your mutual contacts are already promoting you!
How many items can I promote from others?
How do I stop promoting an item?
- Sign in first.
- Click on the 'My Account' tab.
- Click on the 'You promote' tab.
- Choose an item.
- Click on the 'stop promoting this item' button (square), or move your mouse over the '+' button and click on the 'Stop promoting' button.
- A pop-up will ask if you are sure.
- Notice that the item owner could receive an e-mail saying you have stopped promoting this item.
- Don't forget to press the 'save' button!

Why should I upload my contacts?
How do I upload my contacts?
- Sign in first.
- Click on the 'My account' tab.
- Click on the 'Your Network' tab.
- Click on the 'Import Contacts' tab.
- Choose your preferred method.
- The first results show your network contacts.
- Select or deselect the people you would (not) like to connect.
- Choose to continue with or without invitations for joining Promote Your Network.
- Note that Promote Your Network will never send e-mails without your permission.
- Under the 'Suggestions' tab you will find people you know on Promote Your Network and their items (you can now start promoting them!)
How do I invite my friends to Promote Your Network?
- Sign in first.
- Click on the 'My Account' tab.
- Click on the 'Your Network' tab.
- Click on the 'Invite friends' tab.
- Edit the standard invitation text as you wish (TIP: use your mother language!).
- Select e-mail or a social network of your choice.
- Select or deselect the people you would like to invite.
- You will receive an e-mail when someone you know signs up for Promote Your Network.
- After that, you see their items under their 'Suggestions' tab
Why can't I upload my network by selected social media?

Yes you can! Press the blue (square) button to ignore this suggestion.

What's interesting about statistics?
How do I use the statistics tab?
- Select 1 item or all items combined.
- Select a specific period.
- And there you have it, statistics on demand!
- Drag and drop the graphic results in any order you want.
What do the results under the statistic tab mean?
- Top Promoters the people who send the most traffic (hits) to your items.
- Unique visitors are the number of unique people checking out this specific item per day. If 1 person looks 20 times at your item on 1 day the counter will not add this up.
- Raw Hits shows how many times your item had been shown in a specific period.
- Tweets are the amount of tweets promoters have posted by their twitter account of your item in a specific period.
- Promoters are the exact number of people actively promoting this item (will refresh overnight).
- Clicks to your site shows how many times people have clicked the weblink on the item detail page of your item.
- Conversions are the amount of people that were on your item detail page, clicked the weblink and reached a specific goal on your website where you inserted the conversion tracking code

Promote Your network has a SSL certificate. You can recognise this on the pages (sign up, sign in, payment, settings, import your network) where the webadress starts with https:// instead off with http://.

- Do you want to upgrade to a Premium account? You have to pay online after 1 month and select no more than 25 items
